Missions

Active

Market Street Presbyterian Church has an extremely active Mission Committee. This committee leads the congregation in serving the Lord with generosity and faith. As a result of our efforts, we have succeeded in giving huge assistance to several organizations.

Community

Our church yearly gives to 12 local non-profit organizations which includes those affected by homelessness, abuse, veterans, youth and food pantries. Many years ago, two of our members set up funds that were to only be used for mission projects in our community. In the last 2 years through these endowments, we have given over $50,000 to 7 agencies to make more permanent changes to their properties, which in turn will allow these agencies to greatly improve the lives of their recipients.

Giving

Market Street through the Wagnor/ Jacob’s mission funds has given:
  1. $12500 to Our Daily Bread for renovation of their kitchen.
  2. $15000 to Lima Resue Mission for new exterior stairwell and electrical rewiring
  3. $7000 to Samaritan House for two new boiler systems
  4. $579 to Crossroads for lawn care equipment
  5. $2350 to Mizpah Mission for damaged roof and water drainage
  6. $12000  to Habitat for Humanity to replace roofs on aging homes. This has resulted in 3 homes receiving new roofs due to matching grants
  7. $2000 to Wheelhouse bicycle Consortium for bicycle locks

We are excited about the difference Market Street Church has been able to accomplish in our community.
